How to setup a Layout

To setup a layout, click the layout icon.
In the YCP, you can add, edit, delete, enable/disable layouts and setup custom display styles.

Create a [New] layout or select an existing one, to [Edit]



After entering the parameters, press the [Ok] button.

The Layout Parameters
Name The name of the layout.
Example Layout2
Show Borders Show the window borders. (Options: True, False)
Default False
Mode Select the layout mode. (Options: Standard, Enhanced)
Default Standard


The [Standard] layout mode will set GameClients to run in there normal windows, and when swaping from one GameClient to anoter, will use standard windows messages to change the windows position and size.

When selecting the [Enhanced] layout mode, iBox takes control of the GameClients (DirectX) and swaping becomes instantaneous.

Selecting the main monitor



To select what monitor to be the main (focus) monitor, click on a monitor and select the [Main Monitor] option in the menu.
(After selecting the monitor, a blue frame will be displayed around the main (focus) monitor.)

Set Order (New feature)



The Set Order feature, is the order in which, the Layout uses avaiable monitors, as GameClients are added to the Layout.
To set the order, click on a monitor and select the [Set Order] option in the menu and select the order.
(The order number is displayed in the top left cornor of the monitor image.)

Selecting the display layout style



To set the display layout style, click on a monitor and select the [Select Layout...] option in the menu.

In the new window, select the display style you want to use on the monitor, and press the [Ok] button.
(Layout style names may change, as development of iBox continues. Also, a custom style editor is being developed.)

After selecting a display style, the style will be displayed on the monitor, and you can select the style for the next monitor




Selecting the next style



Select the display style you want to use on the monitor, and press the [Ok] button.

Finishing up...



After selecting the display styles (and setting the other parameters), press the [Ok] button.
